Alysia is a project manager, producer and content creator with over 15 years of experience in a variety of creative industries. With a passion for arts and culture, she creates, curates and champions content that explores the intersectional experiences of the communities she inhabits: Black, Female, Parent, Caribbean and American among them. To that end she launched the online publication Rewind and Come Again. As editor, Alysia uses a variety of media to explore Caribbean / Caribbean-American culture and it’s impact on diaspora lives.
Under the banner of Christiani Creative, Alysia uses her production and design skills to assist a host of small businesses and creative entrepreneurs in their efforts to win new and keep their current audiences.
She also works with the Margaret Clemons Foundation as U.S. Project Manager for the Guyanese youth arts initiative the WITNESS Project, which uses the arts as a means to end the culture of gender-based and child-directed violence. And in 2016 she partnered with the Caribbean Film Academy to launch the Timehri Film Festival, an annual festival held in Georgetown, Guyana, that showcases the work of Guyanese & Caribbean filmmakers.
Alysia continues to seek new ways and platforms in which to explore, engage nd celebrate the many facets of her identity and heritage.
